The Conspiracy of Autonomy

The Conspiracy of Autonomy – By Elon A.

The conspiracy of autonomy; Yea, you heard me right.  Addicts are far from autonomous. We are in the threshold of wanting to veer far far away from self governing ourselves.  Nor do we have the  courage or capability to exude this tremendous trait while continuously delving down a horrific path. This world is meant to develop a sense of what it would be like to succeed, not descend into an  spiral of indecency and overcompensation. While in this stranglehold, we beat ourselves to a pulp to the point where we literally and figuratively black out and end up in a hole so deep that we can’t climb out of it, while at the same time getting stuck for eternity. Only with just us and our HUGE egos. Now that would definitely be a very sad set of circumstances. Let this be just a figment of your imagination. Imagine a Topsy turvy world where lying is the new truth and courage meant weakness to every human being . If you ask me, this would constitute an audacious set of circumstances with monumental destruction to our society. With that said , then why is this the active belief in an addictive mind-state?  It could be because of “alter ego’s” , It could be that it’s popular,or even as simple as wanting to fail because we persistently believe that this is “my life and it cannot be altered in any way.” Bottom line, if you give up on yourself you are not only destined to fail but deserve to fail. I know it sounds harsh, but that is my reality. Let others guide you and you will succeed. Do it all on your own and you are screwed. In conclusion, start accepting outside ideas presented by your peers.

Rap Music Today

Rap Music Today – By Joanne F.

Being a mother, (at one time a single mother for several years) of three, now young men, I have been “live streamed” rap music since the early nineties when it was just taking off and yet not quite as graphic and threatening in lyrical content as it is now.  Back then it was more of how many rhymes can you make from the “f” word and how many words rhyme with HO and Ass.   It’s unfortunate that today’s evolution of rap showcase artists or to some “role models” who have to produce extreme horrific innuendos and lyrical acts of violence on all levels to attract an audience.  But then again that’s probably why the typical age for this type of following is ironically the same age group that gets “rapped” up in early addiction practices.   My personal opinion is our site should provide solid thought provoking, clean, at times funny and smart messages to our audience.  They can buy all the crap they want on iTunes.

Which Elite Club Will You Join?

Which Elite Club Will You Join? – By Elon A.

Dying a Miserable death doesn’t exactly sound like my ideal fantasy. This act is more like my worst nightmare. That is at least if I don’t put a stop to this slow deteriorating process. If I still manipulate and censor what others have to say I will be part of the select few that are known as “the walking dead.” This elite group of addicts are already lost within themselves. They have no hope of returning to what a normal person calls reality and will forever be known as a “waste of space.” In order to be a member you must posses certain qualities. A few examples are putting your favorite drug of choice in front of anything else forever, lying and cheating to “just get by” on a daily basis, getting high is your only night and day job, and being homeless while not being able to make sense to others cause you drank so much you saturated your brain. These are just a few examples of how to join. There are unfortunately many others that are to long to list. However the good news? There is an alternative that will get you into a positive club called “wanting to get better”. To belong to this one, you just need three simple yet difficult prerequisites. Willingness, wanting a positive influence in your life, and get a thrill out of being sober. Not to sound trite but I want the best for myself and that means trying my hardest not to go back on the path of dying a miserable death and staying out of the aforementioned “Walking dead” Posse. The choice of yours! Which club are you going for? I dare you to pick one.

Sobriety Sexy?

Sobriety Sexy? – By Elon A.

Sobriety is sexy when worn properly by the right person. It has the aroma of fresh Polynesian flowers in the springtime including a hinted taste of victory along with a splash of accomplishment

Addiction is troll-like worn by almost anybody. It has the exquisite aroma of pigs after they are finished rolling around in their own crap in any season including a hinted taste of defeat along with a huge splash of resentment

Sobriety creates happiness and prosperity.

Addiction creates abysmal whiplash into the realm of negativity

Sobriety is an orgasm among the best orgasms

Addiction is like impotency – you can never get up and do what you’re suppose to do

Sobriety is an invaluable masterpiece when maintained properly

Addiction is a valuable insight into what it would be like to live vicariously through Pinocchio (constantly

lying, hollow, and always are trying to be real)

Sobriety always compliments you

Addiction is perpetually nagging you about everything

Sobriety is charming

Addiction is obnoxious

Sobriety is quiet and reserved

Addiction is extremely flatulent

Sobriety and roses

Addiction and the devil

Sobriety has a story to tell

Addiction already told you the story

Sobriety is like a fine…Sparkling apple juice

Addiction is like eating trash right out of the garbage

Sobriety sees the future

Addiction can’t see anything. Addiction is blind

Sobriety is ruthless

Addiction is willing to let you take advantage

Sobriety is amazing

Addiction is repulsive

Sobriety is ingenious

Addiction is a nincompoop

Sobriety means well

Addiction means…. well if I get high it’s aaaallll goood!

Sobriety respectfully whispers

Addiction impudently SCREAMS

Sobriety asks why me?

Addiction asks why not me?

Sobriety is what I will go with. I’m Elon and I approve this message about sobriety!
The choice is yours.

Pimping out addiction or an ambassador of sobriety?

Pimping out addiction or an ambassador of sobriety? – By Elon A.

What if I said addicts are their own pimps? Now don’t get me wrong, not the type that you are thinking. They don’t walk around with a cane, an emasculating hat, with a wardrobe only a blind mother could love. What I am saying is that an addict will prostitute themselves to the masses. These self induced pompous pimps literally think they enhance the epitome of what a “perfect world should be”. At least while in heavy addiction. Not only do they pimp themselves, they pimp “highs” to other addicts as well. These types are extremely dangerous because the cost doesn’t only necessitate monetary gains, however it could cost either themselves or another addict, life! Now, I don’t know about you, but I believe “pimp” has a negative connotation, so instead I would much rather be called a ambassador of sobriety. When I was in the threshold of addiction my idea of the fine things in life were a job that I was making over 100k yearly, thrilling adventures at the casino and getting my next unhealthy high, a house that cost over a million dollars, close friends that would enable me to do bad, and a Ferrari Enzo. I didn’t care if I emotionally bastardized anyone around me or even if I baited them to give me exactly what I wanted, when I wanted it. Currently my definition is a little different. Now, when I say “I just want all the fine things in life” it means a steady job, healthy thrills, a decent place to call home, a car that will last me a while, and have a few close friends I could always count on to live vicariously through to show me the right path in the world. No pessimism, no unhealthy head-rushes, and most importantly no wondering if I could trust them. This is my “perfect world.” It’s your time(the reader) to shine, would you rather be a pimp or an ambassador? The choice is yours!
